Hello Mrs. Burke!

I just fixed our Internet - a cable was loose.
I really enjoyed learning algebra this year. I have discovered that I like to think algebraically to put word problems into algebraic terms. I want to learn the formula to find exactly where an object will land when you throw it; basically I am interested on how you come up with a quadratic equation, but I guess that would be physics.
I think the hardest method to learn (for me, at least) was the rate-change method from chapter 2 or someting. It took me a long time to get that right in my head!
I liked learning the Pythagorean Theorem. I randomly opened to a page farther on in the book and it was another of Pythagoras's properties. I wonder how Pythagoras figured that out, and why he was so interested in triangles in the first place...
I enjoyed learning exponent stuff, because those problems ended up being relatively simple. One thing I regretted is not being able to use the NavNet on our calculators. The idea of communicating with calculators, however, did strike me as sorta funny 'cause we would type to each other on calculators when we were only about ten feet away from each other, but that was cool anyway.

I found a picture of pythagoras on the internet...

Yes, Patrick, you will see quadratics in physics class, another subject in which I bet you excel. Thanks for being such a good contributor to the class. Since you were able to fix your own Internet, you may have to help me troubleshoot NavNet!
