Number Puzzles

You are all required to write your puzzle in a comment. You may also comment in a constructive way on other's puzzles. Your number puzzle needs to be on by Tuesday morning for you to receive credit for a blog entry for the week of October 1-5 and to receive a quiz grade.

Mrs.Burke i was able to make my puzzle work not only for odd numbers but even also, you were right to tell me to take out the the undoing division.

This is my puzzle. It should equal 5 as the last number.

step 1-pick a number
step 2-add 5
step 3-multiply by 4
step 4-divide by 2
step 5-add 12
step 6-multiply by 4
step 7-divide by 8
step 8-subtract 6 plus your original number
step 9- 5

I found a puzzle that gives you the original number you started with. It works with positives, negatives, zero, and fractions.

Step 1: Pick a Number
Step 2: Multiply by 4
Step 3: Add 20
Step 4: Divide by 4
Step 5: Subtract 4
Step 6: Multiply by 3
Step 7: Subtract 2 times you original number
Step 8: Divide by 3
Step 9: Subtract 1
Step 10: Multiply by 3
Step 11: Your original number.

Step 1-pick a number

Step 3-multiply by 2
step 4 add the original number times 5
step 5-divide by 10
step 6-subtract (x+5)
step 7-add 5
step 8-add the original number
step 9- the answer should be your original number(x)

Check This Out!! This puzzle works for all integers.

step 1- pick a number.
step 2- add the square root of 36.
step 3- add 4.
step 4- subtract your original number.
step 5- subtract 17.
step 6- add 10.
step 7- subtract 3.
step 8- add 6.
step 9- multiply by 4.
step 10- divide by 2.
step 11- add 5.
step 12- subtract 1.
step 13- your answer should always be, my lucky number, 16!! Please tell me if you tested this puzzle and it DID NOT work!
