I have a question about Applying the Math 4.9. On number 19b, to find what you subtrack from x, you take the average of the boundry points, right? And to find what the absolute value of x - the average of the bountry points is, you take the average of 1/8 and 1, right? I ended up with the inequality-- abs(x-24.4375)=.5625. Is this right?

I was just going over the chapter review and I do not understand question 34. I got abs(x-180)>5. It states 180 is the winning score but in my inequality x can equal 186 and the solution will be greater than five. How do I fix it? When I define the variable should I state the x is less than 180?
