Tomorrow's assignement is to read Lesson 5-1 and do CTI.

I thought that some of you might enjoy an optional but extra problem to add onto your test.

Jimmy has a rectangle with dimensions 13 - x by 2x + 7. Patrick believes his rectangle, with dimensions 2x - 1 by 10 - x, has the same perimeter. Find a value for x, if it exists, that makes the two perimeters the same.

I expect to see an algebraic solution to this problem. You should also write a sentence or two (or maybe more to be sure that you and I understand your process) about the solution.

P.S. I do not think that any one got the Melissa problem correct! Does the problem above look more interesting?
