Homework..how to do it!

You need to show the steps you take when simplifying expressions. You should also be able to name the definition or property that permitted you to rewrite the original expression. I do not expect to have to say "show your work" anymore in class.

Homework:
  1. Finish Lesson 2-4, Applying and Review.
  2. Some students need to complete #6-11 on Lesson Master 2-4. This is due tomorrow.
  3. Some students owe me a letter signed by both the student and a parent by Monday at the latest.

Mrs. Burke,

BIG news!!! I got my new math journal (without spirals!!!) I am pasting all of my awsome algebraic notes in there right now!!

How did my math puzzle not work? If you could remember which step it was that I messed up on that would be great because i want to correct it not for my grade's sake but for my own interest. I could have sworn it worked though, I had gabs16 choose a random number I did so myself and I even used a negative number. I also used one odd number and one even.

Are you open tomorrow morning because I would like to go over my self-assesment before i turn it in.

Thank you!!!

<3jen12<3, try using 0 for your number puzzle. When I tried 0 for my first puzzle it did not work so I had to tweak it a little. Also Mrs. Burke, I finished my hw. It took me about an hour to complete plus the letter we need to write.

Thanks njm, but Mrs. Burke and I figured out that she just made a misread of one of my steps. My step said (2+x)2 and she thought that I meant the sum of 2 and x SQUARED whereas I actually meant the sum of 2 and x TIMES 2.

Mrs. Burke, I'm am getting my letter signed as we speak ( or I type ) so you should have it on Tuesday. (I'm going to AHC on Monday) I'll see you then!!!

P.S.~ I'll comment on the newest post on how long my math HW took me. It should only take about 20 minutes tops because it is only 6 questions...wish me luck at AHC!!!!
