Mrs. Burke,
My favorite thing that we learned this year is the Quadratic Formula. I think that, even though it can be tedious because of its length, it's fun. I like figuring out which answer is correct based on the situation in the problem. I'm glad I learned it this year so that I can use it easily in the future.
I also really enjoyed learning about radicals. I like the Product of Square Roots Property and simplifying square roots such as the problem on the exam, SQRRT245. I think that radicals can be challenging because not all of them are rational. That's why I enjoy working with them.
Problem solving is one of my favorite things to do in math, too because its really interesting and fun. Problem solving is really challenging and causes you to really think hard. I think that this year we did less problem solving than Algebra, but that is expected since we studied Algebra. :)
Thank you for a great year. I can't wait to find out which math class I'll be in next year!
Also, I know someone who builds bridges as his profession. Do you think he has the Quadratic Formula memorized?:)

P.S. I loved the chocolate chip cookies!!!

KES,
that person probably has the quadratic formula memorized since he has to know the distance of the vertex to the point where x=0.
The chocolate chip cookies were amazing!!!!!

P.S.: please let us comment next year!!!!!! :)
