Final Exam - Just Around The Corner!
This week we will finish up working with multiplying binomials and solving quadratics by factoring (a method that doesn't always work). You need to work consistently until you complete the final exam. Remember, the final counts as two tests so if you currently have an A and are slowing down, that A could change into a B. The reverse is also true, i.e. a strong finish could boost a B to an A since I will give anyone who earns an A on the final, an A for the third trimester. No pressure there :)!
BTW, how many times do you think wiesej will beg me to make chocolate chip cookies?
For Thursday:
pp. 66 & 67 in your packet. You must know FOIL well!

Hi Mrs. Burke,
That's funny. After this comment I think wiesej will slow down on her weekly beggings. :)
Will we ever have to take the Ch. 9 test? Will Ch. 9 even be on the final exam?
How did we do on our quizzes? I'm glad mine didn't count towrads my grade!
See you tomorrow!
AMS
I forgot to mention...I will give the quiz on Lessons 9-4 through 9-6 on Thursday. There will be no Chapter 9 test!! You will get your quizzes back on Thursday before the second quiz.
Hi Mrs. Burke,
sorry...just take my beggings as a compliment! They're SOOOOOO yummy!
I think I'm gonna study a lot for the quiz on thursday and let it count for my grade, but that's not a final decision yet. I'm also glad my quiz didn't count towards my real grade! :)
See you later!

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I think FOIL confused me a little at first, because I kept messing up the positive and negative signs. I asked my mom for help though, so I get it now. I think I will take the next quiz for a grade because I am not very confident about my A right now! :)
See ya!

Hi, I can't wait to get the final exam out of the way. Only five more school days left!
DTM
Guess what I just did Mrs. Burke? I was trying to do the packet and I was working on the side with the answers. I was like what the heck, I cant simplify any further! By the way, for a Student Coulnil gift we could get the music room a steel drum. I'll tell you more about it tomorrow.

P.S. This is the longest comment I have ever written!
Hi Mrs. Burke,
I also had trouble with signs in the problems in the packet. Will we be able to use calculators on the quiz tomorrow? How long will the exam be?
Hi Mrs. Burke,
If I find enough time to study tonight, I'll let the quiz tomorrow count towards my grade.
Can't wait til Wednesday (when you bring in the cookies!!) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
See you tomorrow!

P.S.: Doesn't the music room already have a steel drum that we used for the play? Also, Mr. Roundtree wanted a little kid drum set and 2 round carpets. We can talk about it on Tuesday at the SC meeting!
Bye!
Hey Mrs. Burke,

According to it, one can predict the strengths in SAT scores by comparing finger lengths! My hand says I'll do better in math than vocab! :)

Sorry! The URL didn't finish!
Here is the complete one:

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I did the review packet, but I have a few questions, and I think that there's a mistake on the test. I'll show you on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!

TOMORROW YOU BRING US YOUR COOKIES!!!!!!!!!! :)
Didn't she bring us cookies on the day of the flea market?
:)KES
Hi Mrs. Burke,
thank you soooooooooooooo much for the cookies! They were delicious! They made me look more forward to the exam because I knew we'd get them after it!
Thanks again!
~wiesej
Hi Mrs. Burke,
When will you be showig us how we did on our final exams? Have you already started to grade them?
Thanks for the cookies! I didn't eat one, but they looked really good!
Will we still be able to log on to the blog at the end of the year, or will you take us off the list of contributers, and we can never have access to this site again?
See you tomorrow!
AMS
Hi Mrs. Burke,
Thank you for the cookies. Random question: Did 7th grade French do their cooking thing yet? The cookies were great, I was shocked AMS didn't have one.
See you tomorrow!

Hi Mrs. Burke!
How did we do on our final exams?
I still haven't found out what my last year's final exam grade was. Is there any way I can find out?
See you tomorrow! I hope we all did a good job on the exam!
