How many times can you fold a piece of paper in half?

You can investigate this problem further. First, visit this site. Then, although you may only understand the first two paragraphs, try this site. What have you learned?

For Thursday:

1. Finish Lesson 8-5, Review.
2. Complete Lesson 8-5, Covering the Reading and Review.

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I liked the websites! I think it's pretty cool that one girl broke three records in folding a piece of paper, in one day! I guess this proves that nothing is impossible!
See you tomorrow,

Mrs. Burke--
For some reason the links to the websites aren't working for me. I'll try them at break tommorow and share my thoughts with you then.

Hey Mrs. Burke,
I learned that it does not matter how thick the paper is, you should be able to fold it the same amount of times. See you tomorrow.

Dear Mrs. Burke,
I learned about the Geometric Sequence from the first website and from the second, I learned that Britney set a world record as a junior in high school. That's pretty cool! On the first website, they mentioned a checkerboard-rice problem. I think I saw a problem like that in our math book! See you later!
