My Trip...to DCA

I spent a lovely day at National Airport on Friday and, while standing in numerous, long lines, met many interesting and fun people. My luggage went to Boston and is apparently having a wonderful time because I haven't heard from it. I also visited the Airport to search for my luggage on Saturday. We can have a lottery at school to see when it will return. What is the probability that I wil have it in one week? Hmmm!

Are you enjoying learning about slope? You'll keep revisiting this concept throughout your math classes in high school and in college, if you take Calculus and Differential Equations. Here's an interactive website that helps you understand the difference between the slope's effect on the line and the y-intercept's effect on the line. Have fun!

Due on Tuesday, March 20:

1. Finish Applying in 7-4. We will check Applying and Review tomorrow.
2. Read Lesson 7-5 and finish Covering the Reading for tomorrow.

Hello Mrs. Burke
I liked slopes but I'm still not sure what I did wrong in class today on that one problem.

Hi Mrs. Burke,
Actually, I'm going to have to disagree with everyone else. I have had more interesting subjects in math. :)
See you tomorrow!

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I will have to tell you about all my airport stories tomorrow. There are so many, I could not write them all here. The last time I (was supposed to) flew, we missed are flight by one minute and my mom had to drive home from North Carolina! Back to math: I like slopes and they have, so far, been easy for me.
I hope you get your luggage!

Dear Ms. Burke,
I bet on your luggage returning within the week but closer to the weekend, because I hear that airports will be especially buisy in the next few days.

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I checked out the web site and found that it was impossible to make a vertical line, since it's undefined! But if it's undefined, why did the book teach us about vertical lines in previous chapters?
I went hiking today! It was fun!
I hope you find your luggage!
