Are you enjoying today?

I reviewed your Lesson Masters yesterday and most of you are not understanding that if you are supposed to determine a value by reading a graph, the value needs to be on the graph that you drew. Most of you graphed two lines that were supposed to intersect. You did not scale correctly to show the intersection. Please review the Lesson 5-4 problems that require you to read a value on a graph. Practice graphing!

You also need to review how to write inequalities to describe a window. There are two axes, the x-axis and the y-axis. You need to write an inequality for each axis.

If you have any more questions, I'll check the blog later today. You can come in for help tomorrow morning before school and during break.

Dear Mrs. Burke,
I still have a lot of questions about 5-4-5-6. Can I come see you in break or before school? I am still going to turn in my Lesson Master tomorrow, even though it won't get corrected before the quiz. Happy snow day!

Dear Mrs. Burke,
I'm not sure how to write two inequalities for a window and write equations showing how that they are equal.

I'll see you tomorrow morning, Brendan. But before you come look at Lesson 5-5. On your calculator, you use xmin and xmax for window settings. I'll translate that into an inequality for the default settings (ZOOM 6) on your calculator: -10 "is less than or equal to" x "is less than or equal to" 10 (but you would write "less than or equal to" symbols that I cannot write in my comment).

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I really enjoyed today!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I reviewed the material and feel pretty confident in myself. I just can't wait until this chaper is over, I really am not interested in this kind of math. But sets were fun!
See you tomorrow!

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I studied for math today, though there were very few reviews at the end of this chapter that could help me study for the quiz. Most were for lesson 5-8, which doesn't surprise me. :)
See you tomorrow!
