Another Snow Day!

I hope you are enjoying your time off as I am. Yesterday I melted the ice off two cars but my street did not get plowed until 5:00 PM. Today some melting should happen with the sun shining so brightly.

After you make your snowman, shovel the drivweway for your parents, and go sledding/sliding, you can read through Lesson 6-2 about rates. Back in Chapter 2 you learned about the Rate Factor Model for Multiplication. This lesson gives a slightly different view. You can practice some problems here; the answers are given. You can also answer the questions in Covering the Reading. I will be assigning this lesson over the weeknd so you can get a head start today.

The test will still be tomorrow although I may only give you half of it because of the shorter class time. If this happens, you will complete the second half on Tuesday. Be sure you review today! I will be in by 8:00 AM if you need help.

Don't forget, we will still celebrate Valentine's Day tomorrow during lunch. Is everyone bringing some treats?

Thank you Mrs. Burke for the heads-up about the test and 6-2. I hope I understand this rate lesson better than I understood the last one!! :)

Hi Mrs. Burke!
I'm leaving for Deer Valley now, but I think I'm pretty caught up for math. If not, I'll catch up when I get back. 6-2 CR wasn't too hard to understand.
See you Tuesday!
Good luck everyone on the test!

Glad to see that everyone is excited about today and cooperative about getting some algebra done as well. It is still really icy on my street. Do you think we will start on time tomorrow?
