Third Side Property

Lesson 4-8 is so tricky to read. I hope the paperfolding activity with the door and wall helped. You really do not want to be paperfolding every time you have this type of situation. That's why memorizing the Third Side Property helps save time.

Need a quick review? Take a look at this PowerPoint presentation. Remember to click on the slide to continue.

Today's Assignments:

1. Study for a quiz on Lessons 4-5 through 4-7. The quiz is Tuesday.
2. Read Lesson 4-9, Graphing Linear Patterns. Let p = the number of the problems. The domain of p is the set of whole numbers. Do all problems p such that 0 < p< 10 and p = 10.
Check out this PowerPoint if you do not want to read the text again.

Hi Mrs. Burke!
I'm finally on the list of contributers and I can finally post! Your powerpoints did help me understand the lesson better, and I feel like I know the chapter very well for the test on Monday. Not that I don't love math, but I hope we get some snow on Monday.
See you hopefully Tuesday (at the least)

Yes, I do also feel prepared for the math test. I did what I needed practice on on the review sheets. (LM)
On Sunday, as a review, I will probably do some more practice quesitons.
I REALLY hope there is a snow day on Monday. Let's all wear our pajamas inside out and backwards!
See you (hopefully) on Tuesday!

I heard that to wish for snow, you wear you PJs inside out, backwards, and reversed, like the top on the bottom and the bottom on the top. That might be hard, though!!!

Dear Mrs. Burke,
I am doing the chapter review and the lesson master to help prepare for the test. While I am ready for the test, I am praying for more snow and hopefully no school! See you on tuesday in class!
