Hints!

First question: What digit(s) can be in the thousands place?

Second question: What is the sum of all five numbers?

The AMC 8 Test should not be making anyone nervous. It is an opportunity to paticipate in a contest and to solve problems that you might not encounter (for the most part) in your algebra class. Of course, the questions are challenging but your grade is totally unaffected by your performance on this test.

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I realize my mistake now! I can't put zero in the thousands place! My new answer for the first problem is 6. I still don't know the answer to the second question.
How did we do on our math tests?
See you tomorrow!
