Algebraic Fractions
Today's lesson is an important one. You need to understand why we spent so much time on the activity. The area model for multiplication is an important model and you need to be able to understand how it works. If you can explain the model to your parents and they understand what you are saying, then you probably are grasping the concept. If you are confused now, I will work with you tomorrow afternoon beginning at 3:15PM.
Today's assignments:
1. Finish reading Lesson 2-3 and answer all the questions.
2. Correct your Pythagorean Theorem sketch and pass it in again with the rubric. Throw the old one away.
3. I am checking your test for a signature and corrections. You may owe five cents!

Hi Mrs. Burke,
I don't understand the area model for multiplication so I'll ask you for help tomorrow. Would it be possible if I come in the morning because the afternoon would get in the way of my after-school activity? Could you email me with the answer?
Also, I'll turn in the corrected Pythagorean Theorem on Thursday.
I always seem to be missing the important lessons!!!!!

I just finished math homework which makes me feel great since now I don't have any homework for a WHOLE WEEK!!!!!
I don't really understand what you mean by "a comment a week". Does this mean that atleast one comment has to have something to do with math in order to receive credit? If so, then this one will have something math related on it. To make sure, I'll ask you on Tuesday.

I left early on Grandparents Day and I got Q 1-6 on the Lesson Master worksheet. Is there more than one side? I also wanted to check and see if I missed anything on friday.
